Hi, I'm happy to be part of this group. Traveling is my passion and when I can't travel I write about the countries I wish to be in. I have written 2 novels and a 3rd almost ready (when my editor says so) mostly set in different countries with exciting cultures.

Hi - We've been on the road traveling for 27 months, since July 2008 and have seen 43 countries. We've spent about a year in South America and much time in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan as well as many other countires. Our lives and perspectives have broadened so much - this has been a life-changing experience.

Hello there, when I found you I thought you should really know about my book THROUGH THE EYES OF A GRINGA - Eight Weeks in Peru and Ecuador. This book is much more than a travel book as I spent months each year with my friend in Guayaquil which gives me much more insight about life in this part of the world. We travel, I read the newspaper daily and listen to the news on TV, talk with everybody, refer to past experiences somewhere else and comparisons with life in the USA. People who have read it are very enthusiastic about the book and I receive many nice comments from them. Therefore, I want to bring my book to your attention and hope you'll enjoy and let me know what you think afterward.

Traveling in Asia is great, I love both the Buddist and Hindu way of thinking.

Hitching Rides with Buddha sounds very interesting....is there a moral to the story?

Hi.
James Michener ( Texas, Poland, Space and a lot more) takes you to a lot of places. And in various times in that place's history.
James Clavell ( Taipan and more) does similar stuff with the Orient, centered around Hong Kong.

Hello and Welcome! This is the place to be for any armchair travelers. My personal favorite travelogue is Hitching Rides with Buddha by Will Ferguson. It details the authors journey as he hitches rides across Japan following the Sakura blossoms north.
