This nature/science book, with many beautiful photographs, introduces children to the pollinating activities of bumblebees and to the insect trapping, carnivorous Venus Fly Trap and the Pitcher plant. It would be a great addition to any home or school library.

Making learning fun was a '"trick of the trade" when I taught third grade. I love unusal facts, the weirder the better.

"Feathers and Fools" by Mem Fox is a great book to help kids understand fighting, especially fighting (w/ wars). When we've talked about Iraq, we read this book and then talk about the different cultures that live so closely.

Books that are pleasing to the eye and can bring about conversation in a classroom are great!
