Originally a social worker, I created a company to record and sell relaxation tapes. In 1989 this morphed into publishing books, includin several that I have written. I live in Portland, Oregon and write a column on publishing for the Willamette Writers newsletter.
Richard lives with his wife Janice and their two dogs DJ and Maggie. They have two children and two grandchildren. DJ and Maggie are tha main characters in the series the Guardians.
