In 2006 my eldest daughter returned to our home in Cutler Bay, South Florida for a six months stay and brought her pet feline, Patience, along. This is a brief account of those first few years in the U.S. Capital as seen through the eyes of a Junior Diplomat during a time of great challenges, unwarranted obstacles, and unsung heroes.
