Author Biography

William Eleazer, Author of SAVANNAH LAW. A young law professor’s obsession with a female student and a politically-charged, media-frenzy criminal trial that pits the nation’s most successful criminal trial lawyer against Savannah prosecutors, provide the novel’s backdrop. Savannah Law is filled with colorful, yet believable, characters, including a few cantankerous law professors who demonstrate their vanity and eccentricities at the weekly faculty meetings. FINALIST, Best New Fiction, 2010 International Book Awards. Book website: www.savannahcollegeoflaw.com.
Influences/Inspirations:
(My wife keeps me headed in the straight and narrow)
Favorite Writers and Artists:
Scott Turrow– Any of his novels. The latest is “Innocent.” I just read it. Excellent, but first read “Presumed Innocent” because “Innocent” is a follow-up (about 20 years later) of “Presumed Innocent,” with some of the same characters, and some events needed to really appreciate “Innocent.” All his novels are excellent, but two that I rate among the best are “Reversible Error” and “The Burden of Proof.” Steve Martini, “The Judge.” and any of John Grisham’s early novels.
Current Projects:
Just started writing what is tentatively called "The Decision" -- Legal Thriller. It's a follow up of "Savannah Law" with many of the same characters. Same local.
