I'm a freelance nonfiction ghostwriter and co-author commonly called "The Machine" by people in the industry. I think it's because since 2004 I've written about 30 books on subjects from health and spirituality to self-help and finance. In addition, I'm a blues singer/songwriter, an entrepreneur, a backcountry hiker, a rabid baseball fan, a father and a husband. I live on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with my crazy family. |

Current Projects:
A book on the requirements for mastery of a skill, a business book for a client in Australia, two book proposals, three new businesses I'm attempting to launch, and the launch of my first self-published book, "The Chimp Who Loved Me"
Other than that, not much.
Interests:
Baseball, sailing, backcountry hiking, books, blues and jazz, playing the harmonica, songwriting, great wine, travel, being Daddy, beagles, consciousness research, frontier science, politics.
Family:
I have a wife, two daughters, wonderful parents who are still with us, a Wagnerian soprano sister with an incredible voice, a great nephew, a bunch of wacko aunts and uncles and foodies and oenophiles on my wife's side. Holidays are either filled with fart jokes or fantastic cabernets. Either way, you can't lose.
