Thomas Hegghammer is a Norwegian academic specializing in the study of violent Islamism. He is a senior research fellow at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) in Oslo and a fellow at New York University. He holds degrees from Sciences-Po in Paris and Oxford University.
