Tactics is a wonderful story about friends who become lovers. Michael and Colin have similar personalities, they are both successful and both worry about ruining their friendship by telling the other how they really feel. Their game of chess becomes so much more as they slowly reveal their true feelings. With each piece they move the sexual tension between them grows. The only thing better than all of the fun and sexy innuendos between them, is when they share their first kiss- they weren’t the only ones who waited breathlessly for that moment! Michael and Colin are very gentle lovers. Their touches and kisses are soft and sexy. Tactics is just right. It’s romantic and very touching.

Engineering Director Michael Donaldson is hard at work on a project when he receives news of an accident in the warehouse and Chief Engineer Colin Marsden was taken to the hospital. Michael rushes out to see Colin’s condition for himself. Not only is Colin his best friend, he is also the man that Michael secretly loves. Colin feels the same way about Michael but has never admitted it. Playing a game of chess gives them an excuse to be together in hopes that they can move their friendship into something more.

Tactics is a heartwarming story of two friends growing into love. Both men are afraid of losing their bond, but they each desire a committed relationship. Stevie Woods has a talent for producing emotional love stories and Tactics is no exception. I enjoyed this saga immensely.
