This took me back to my childhood. My baby brother would wake up crying in the middle of the night just about the time am having a wonderful dream. The sad part of it is I just couldn't go back to sleep because few minutes later he is still crying...lol!

This is something we all have in common. In this story, the little girl wanted to know why baby often cries. Her mother said sometimes the baby is sad or wet or is sick and cannot tell. She assured her that baby will soon grow and sleep tight all through the night. This is a wonderful book by the Author Sherry Ellis and great illustration by Don Berry. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars helps makes sleepless nights more bearable, March 4, 2011

If you are a parent, or an older sibling, what was one of the most pressing problems that you experienced when a newborn baby was in the house? A common answer is sleep deprivation. In That Baby Woke Me Up, AGAIN!, a little girl is sleeping and dreaming when, WAAAAH!!! Her baby brother cries, and she hears her mama's footsteps shuffling down the hall to the nursery. This happens night after night. Even Papa wonders why the baby can't sleep without a peep. So the next morning, when the girl wakes with bags under her eyes, she asks Mama why the baby cries so much. What will Mama tell her? And will they be able to arrive at a solution?
Author Sherry Ellis, who has also written That Mama Is a Grouch, is a professional musician and the mother of two children, both of whom were late-night entertainers. Using poetic text combined with cute, full-color drawings by illustrator Don Berry, she speaks through the voice of experience to all those bleary-eyed young families who wonder whether they will ever get a full night's sleep again. As the father of two sons, I have spent my share of sleepless nights with crying babies as well and can attest to Ms. Ellis's implication that the best way to make it through this period of a child's early life is simply to remember that "This, too, shall pass." Even the most fatigued members of a household will find that the book may make their nights more bearable

I read this to my 4 year old grand- daughter the third night her baby sister was home and she related to the story very well. She wantedf me to read it every night thereafter.

I have never known a little child that is overjoyed to share the spot light. It is great that books like this tell it like it is and allow a child to react naturally to the joyous event. Someday they will be very happy

This charming and delightful story tells of a common occurance in multi-children households. The whole family is involved with new siblings' night-time needs. The rhyming and happy text and matching illustrations tell the story in a way that will keep children reading over and over

I read this book to my second grade class and found that a lot of the children identified with the narrator. It was a nice way to open a discussion on some of the challenges facing the children, when a new baby enters the house. I also found that it helped a number of my students find that they had something in common with other students in the class. I will continue to use this book with future classes
