I'm a freelance writer. My work has appeared in Guardian Online, Electronic Intifada, New Internationalist, Big Issue in the North, IslamOnline.net, Wanderlust, The Arab, New Start and many other publications. I've been reviews editor at Red Pepper and Peace News, and features editor at Ethical Consumer. As well as the books listed below, I've also contributed a case study to Tourism and Responsibility: Perspectives from Latin America and the Caribbean (Routledge 2007). I'm currently working on a new version of the Bradt Guide to Palestine (forthcoming: Bradt 2011) and a biography of Leila Khaled (forthcoming, Pluto 2012). |

I'm currently in the editing process for my first solo book, a biography of Palestinian aeroplane hijacker, fighter, politician and women's rights campaigner Leila Khaled, and am writing a newly-commissioned Bradt Guide to Palestine.
