What I like about this collection of short stories is that not only are they wierd and bizarre, they are filled with psychological aspects of the human mind and the emotions of the human condition. Some of the stories involve phobias, compulsive-obsessive disorders, apathy and guilt feeding upon more guilt. There are strange coincidences and "what ifs" that are played upon by the author, Pairalee P. She is great with the use of imagery and local color. You would truly like BLADE CHATTER, if you are into WIERD.

Oh what a diabolically delightful book. Anyone with a quaint name like Pairalee Pendleton must have a few tales to tell and tell them she does. There are tales of strange medical conditions, geezers gone wild, tainted love, children behaving badly and aliens with puzzled expressions on their faces. Here you have them, Twenty Four Stories of the Macabre that would lend themselves nicely to television adaptation or even community theatre productions. They have not made ss collections like this in a long, long while and are reminiscent of those of Saki, Poe, and O. Henry.
