Sandra Senft, MSBA, CISA, CIA is an executive with more than 25 years of combined experience in auditing, financial management, insurance, and information systems. During her career in corporate finance, she held the global position of Chief Financial Officer for Group IT within Zurich Financial Services in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to that, she held the position of AVP of IT Support Services for Farmers Insurance Group (a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services). This position included responsibility for finance, process improvement, project management, quality management, service management, sourcing, and vendor management.
Ms. Senft’s extensive understanding of the IT and financial disciplines was re-enforced during her tenure as an Information Systems Auditor from 1993 to 1999. She conducted financial, operational, and information systems audits; specializing in systems development projects, general controls audits of mainframe and distributed systems, information security, disaster recovery, and quality assurance.
A faculty member of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona from 1997 to 2000, she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in information technology and information systems auditing. She also has presented information systems auditing at seminars and conferences specializing in systems development auditing. Co-author of Information Technology Control and Audit (1st, 2nd, and 3rd editions) and several articles for Auerbach Publications on IT controls and audit.
Ms. Senft graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a masters of science degree in business administration option in information systems auditing and a bachelor of science in accounting. She is an Enrolled Agent, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor (non-practicing).
