Author Biography

Robert Snow worked as a police officer with the Indianapolis Police Department for over 38 years, retiring with the rank of captain. During his time there he served in such capacities as Police Department Executive Officer, Captain of Detectives, and Commander of the Homicide Branch.

He has also been a publishing writer for almost 30 years. He has had over 100 articles and short stories published in such magazines as Playboy, Reader's Digest, The Writer, the National Enquirer, The Saint Detective Magazine, and many others. In addition, he has had thirteen books published, most of them giving readers the benefit of his knowledge of law enforcement so that they can protect themselves and their loved ones.
Influences/Inspirations:
The major influence on Robert's writing life was his mentor: Professor Mary Louise Rea of Indiana University. She saw a hint of talent and nurtured it.
Current Projects:
Robert is presently finishing up a book on the history of policewomen, to be published by Rowman & Littlefield in Spring 2010.
Family:
Robert's wife, Melanie, is also a retired police officer.
