Grew up in New England, traveling in Europe, India, and the United States. More than twenty years working with and advocating for persons with mental retardation, and other at risk populations.
Ph.D.: History - with a concentration in Anglo-European and Early American History. Dissertation: The Principle of Federal Authority: Political Economy and Republican Virtue.
BA: Bachelor of Liberal Studies in History and Psychology. Student teaching for four summers with academically advanced learners preparing for High School and College.
Presentations: For C.E.U. workshops: *The Impact of Culture on Mental Health Care: History, Practices, and Institutions, and *Mental Health and Retardation: How Principles and Practices Have Changed Over Time.
