Author Biography

Penny Lockwood Ehrenkranz has published more than 80 articles, 60 stories, two e-books, a chapbook, and her stories have been included in two anthologies. She writes for both adults and children. Her fiction has appeared in numerous genre and children's publications and non-fiction work has appeared in a variety of writing, parenting, and young adult print magazines and on line publications. Influences/Inspirations:
I am influenced by the world around me, whether it is nature, my family, my pets, my friends, or the people I see in my travels. I have a passion for human rights, victim's rights, and animal rights.
Favorite Writers and Artists:
My favorite writers tend to be in the fantasy genre such as David Eddings, Terry Brooks, George R.R. Martin, Anne McCaffery, Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison, and Devon Monk. I also enjoy mainstream authors such as Barbara Kingsolver.
Current Projects:
My current project is a WIP sequel to my middle grade novel, Ghost for Rent. Tentative titled, Ghost for Dinner, this middle grade paranormal mystery takes up where Ghost for Rent left off.

I have a picture book at a publisher awaiting acceptance. I have an anthology of my adult fantasy and soft science fiction at another publisher awaiting acceptance.

I am compiling a collection of writing articles for self-publication and I have another picture book which is a WIP.
Interests:
In addition to writing, I enjoy gardening, crocheting, reading, cooking, sewing and other crafts. I also enjoy watching movies (science fiction, fantasy, and romantic comedy) and playing with my dogs and cats.
Family:
I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. My husband and I have two married children and one granddaughter.
