A native of Philadelphia, Mylow Young has struggled with drug addiction for more than half of his fifty-two years. Homeless, hopeless and trapped in a mindset of rejection and worthlessness, freedom from addiction was impossible. After several stays at Bethel Colony of Mercy (a faith based drug and alcohol facility) and even serving in that same ministry, consistency in his life was not to be found. But several years ago, after totally surrendering his life to Jesus Christ and discovering his identity in Christ, he has found newness of life - a new wife, a new job, a new home and yes... freedom and victory over the ever present lure of crack cocaine. Mylow now lives in Statesville, N.C. with his bride Sondra, and will soon celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary. They attend The Connection of Statesville Church where Mylow serves as a Deacon. He is also a licensed minister. He is available for speaking engagements at your church, youth group, sunday school service or recovery group. See contact information below. |
