My name is Monte Alexander and I am a life-long resident of Central Indiana living north of Indianapolis in nearby Hamilton County most of my life. I am married to Sandy, my wife of 12 plus years and we have a ferocious guard dog named Maddie (10 lb Silky Terrier) that has control of the castle, all of it! Murder Doesn't Play Favorites is my first attempt at writing a novel. I have had no formal training in writing, in fact I was at best a marginal English student in school, but always had a latent desire to be a writer and have a vivid imagination and a very good memory. In fact Sandy is always telling people we meet that "I am a storehouse of useless information". I also have a diverse range of interest and experience in the vocational sense that span the spectrum of auto mechanic, bartender, home builder, real estate agent, insurance salesman, stock broker, banker,etc, etc, etc. All of this experience has provided me with knowledge and ideas that are the focus of this first story. But I have to be honest about the book, the inspiration for the whole story came from Sandy. She wrote the first chapter and then I picked it up from there with her input. Without that, I doubt that the book would have ever come about. But it has and now it is in print hoping to be the next "great American novel".
