Have you ever read a book and as you are reading play out the movie in your mind? My motto is: if you cannot visualize in your mind in the first chapter or two what you are reading then the book is usually not worth going any futher.
As I started to read "Its Extraordinary My Dear Winifred" The movie played out in my mind and I couldn't stop till I finished the book. It you like a good sweet cozy type mystery then you cannot go wrong by picking up a copy of this book and giving it a read. Miss Mae has a knack for writing a mystery and playing it out, without letting it known almost at the beginning who the scoundrel is.
Miss Winifred Merryweather is a daughter of a of a London nototious villain . Keeping her identity a secret, she lives with her cat Theodore and attends a mystery reading group twice a month at the estate of Lord Nelson Chatham. Theres nothing like getting lost in a good mystery book and figuring out the clues, that is until one has to live it out in real time.
Kidnapped and finding herself in some strange home she had no idea what was going on, till she started meeting up with other members of her reading group and a newspaper reporter. Remington Hawthorn is not a member of the reading group so why was he kidnapped and thrown in with this assortment of mystery readers. There's a reason and Winifred knows, or does she???
Miss Mae grabs your attention from the very first page and the more you read the deeper the suspense becomes. As the characters try to figure out the clues you soon come to find out what they think is not what it is. There is not one character that is more popular then any other in the book, They all have their distinct personality and all play a part in the story line. Will Winifred and Remington figure out what is going on. From a houseroom full of mirrors to dungeons to hidden doors and false walls , who has the answer to these puzzling happenings. If you like books about Sherlock Holmes, then this is the book for you. This is a must read for all mystery lovers. This is the first in the Miss Winifred series. I know all cozy mystery lovers will want to collect the series as they come out.
