Talk About Wild!

Too often a desire for ownership of the wild horse is sparked by the legendary mystique surrounding this animal, and places many at the mercy of naïve owners who don’t understand what “wild” truly entails.

CLARKSVILLE, TN. Dec. 27, 2007—Experience the “wild side” and learn about the spirit of the wild horse with author “Mikey” Porter in her book, “Eyes With Fire” (now available through Amazon).

Ms. “Mikey” Porter relates this riveting account of her Mustang Zima on the path to domestication. The story also relates this trainers experience with some of the “wild ones” she has faced, and tells of how the Mustang is driven by its wild psyche to avoid humans with a staunch determination.

Often referred to as “Ms. Mustang,” this trainer and exhibitor of the wild horse relates the story of “Zima,” from wild equine to willing crowd pleaser, and their quest to prove the Mustang, often mislabeled as inferior, to be capable of achieving the level of excellence exhibited by any other equine breed.

“Mikey” Porter has been an avid ambassador for the wild horse since 1993 by exhibiting her own Mustangs, conducting workshops, demonstrating training techniques, and performing at major horse expositions. She and her Mustangs have won numerous awards and she is widely credited with increasing the respect of the Mustang in horse circles.

Have you heard of Ed Dabney? My roommate in college trained horses for/with him. I find it so fascinating!
