I was recently interviewed by Lynn Alexander for Full Of Crow. The discussion centered around asemic writing. Here's the url for the interview: http://fullofcrow.com/prate/2009/08/michael-jacobson/

Hi people. Thanks for your comments. Here is an email address that I can be reached at: thenewpostliterate@gmail.com Being a self published author, for myself, is like a rollercoaster that goes up and down. It's exciting. But after awhile it can get old. My style of writing (asemic writing) is somewhat experimental, so I felt that I wouldn't have a chance with a conventional publisher. I did make contact with a couple of publishers and didn't get a response. So rather than keep trying to find someone willing to put out my work, I decided to have at it myself. I have been at it for three and a half years. I've learned alot along the way. Get a blog. I have been blogging for a year now and wish I would have gotten one sooner. I'll plug my blog while I'm at it. It's: http://thenewpostliterate.blogspot.com

With asemic writing, the semantic content is 'there', it's just invisible; asemic writing is bursting at the seams with semantic content. To see it, one needs only to blow some smoke and the signals will appear. But no, I don't advocate burning books.

I have a new book done called Action Figures. It is available as a free download from Avance Publishing, Literate Machine, or Lulu the printer. The book is a sequence of asemic graffiti glyphs from the future. It's a short piece of writing, and I am happy with how it turned out.
