Why are we here? Where did we come from? Where are we going? Michael C. Sullivan addresses those persistent existential questions in his books: "In Search of a Perfect World", a non-fiction examination of end times/doomsday prophecies in the light of today's world, and a metaphysical/spiritual/mystery/thriller novel entitled "Fulfillment: It's All About Power". An e-book copy of the novel is now available from: www.insearchofaperfectworld.blogspot.com. The first 4 chapters may be downloaded, at no cost, for a taste of the tale -- which is full of insights about life today and the nature of fulfillment. Briefly, the story focuses on Mayan prophecy regarding the Year 2012, the search for an ancient Mayan artifact reputed to have mystical powers, and connections between the demise of both the Mayan and Anasazi civilizations. His first book, "In Search of a Perfect World", is available online through AuthorHouse, Barnes & Nobel, Amazon, and other sources. He is now at work on another novel, "House of Sun", which will trace the evolution of the indigenous peoples of the Southwestern U.S. from prehistoric to present times. Sullivan left full-time employment with a daily newspaper in Southern Arizona during 2006 and spent 3 years traveling, from Central America through Mexico, the U.S. West and Pacific Northwest, compiling ideas and material for "Fulfillment". He began his writing career as a journalist in 1968, working for newspapers and magazines from Michigan to Oregon (and points between). He also published his own quarterly magazines in Michigan, Idaho and Montana. Sullivan has won awards from the Arizona Press Club and Associated Press Managing Editors Association for business and environmental reporting.
