MELANIE JOY ANSLEY was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 4, 1949. She was a debutante and graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1967. Melanie was born with a very special gift, and at a very early age showed an interest in cosmetology. She was very successful and well known in this particular field. Melanie was accepted at Peter Piccolo School of Hair Design, which is located in Buffalo, New York.
Melanie was also a student at Lansing Community College in 1984. Her interest was in obtaining an Associate Degree in Computer Operations & Management. Melanie maintained a 3.7 average the first semester however; she did not return for the second semester of classes because of health problems. Melanie believes that a person is never to old to persue a college education, and she would love to go back to school and get her Associate Degree.
Melanie was blessed with three children. Her youngest son died when he was ten years old. Melanie has also had her share of trouble in he lifetime.There was a time when her lifestyle was out of control and unacceptable. Life was a struggle from one day to the next, but she held on to her faith and never once gave up on herself or her family.
Through prayer and with help from AA and the NA Fellowship, she was victorious and turned her life around. "God is good all of the time" Melanie is blessed and living a happy and normal life today. She also agreed to assist her mother in “writing the vision and making it plain!” This is her first attempt as a new author, and a job well done.
