Author Biography
Marybeth Holleman is author of The Heart of the Sound: An Alaskan Paradise Found and Nearly Lost and co-editor of Crosscurrents North: Alaskans on the Environment. Her work has appeared in publications including Orion, North American Review, Christian Science Monitor, The Future of Nature, and Solo. She has taught creative writing and women’s studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Raised in the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina, she transplanted to Alaska's Chugach Mountains over 20 years ago. www.marybethholleman.com.
