Overjoyed to read about Lynne! I read this as a thirteen year old obsessed with time travel books and authors such as Rosemary Sutcliff. I was so happy to find and buy the original Blackie edition from ebay, and had great fun rereading it. This book awoke my interest in Latin, and now I teach it! Also, I have a tiny bit in common with the author, because I studied Russian as a subsid at university! The green Bronze Mirror is one of my favourite books ever and reading it again this year really took me back to my schooldays. Thank you so much for awakening my interest, and for the information on the site!
