Kirby Timmons
Author Biography
Kirby Timmons has been an award-winning writer, producer and creator of broadcast, video and other media programs for over twenty years. He has written for "The Waltons," "The Life And Times Of Grizzly Adams," and "Here's Boomer."
As a story editor and creative director for McGraw-Hill Training, Kirby wrote and produced hundreds of non-theatrical programs, including "The Abilene Paradox," named by Fortune Magazine one of the Best Training Films Of All Time.
Raised in Atlanta, Kirby received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where, to stay close to family back east, he often penned an annual holiday essay as a gift to send home. One essay was about a Dad who misses the meaning of the holiday in his stubborn pursuit of a simple nap. Believing its message to be particularly timely, Kirby decided to retell the story as a "children's book for adults."
Kirby lives in Valencia, CA with his wife Gloria, and twin boys, Heath and Clay, where he still stuffs his own stocking every year, just in case.

Author Video
A funny takeoff on the whole "hanging chad" election disaster to the tune of Theme From "Shaft". Asks the question, "what if Chad had made a return appearance in 2008?"

THE UNOPENED STOCKING fulfills my dream to have my well-recieved holiday essay published as a book for family and friends and, who knows? Maybe others as well. Brilliant illustrations by a young artist, Steven Correa.
