For everything and everyone me, go to www.johnrossharvey.com books, twitter, sound files etc.
Who am I? I'm a 2004 Humber Comedy Workshop Writing graduate, a draftsman, an unaired contestant on 2007's Last Comic Standing despite being joined on stage by Ant to prove my superpowers of magnetism. I may not be Magneto yet, I need to eat more steak.
So far I have self-published through Lulu.com my first 5 books. I have a few manuscripts complete and a few others in progress that I'm hoping to land a publisher for. Since my genre will change from pure comedy to other genres, I will be adopting nom de plumes or psuedonyms to write under for the next books.
My voice sound bites can be found at ilike.com
I have a blog at http://threeforcesofevil.blogspot.com
If you look at my photo, you will see a calcualtor, a TI-66 programmable. This is a circa 1981 machine, that I've only changed batteries on twice in 18 years, and it still works. Since you don't see a novel on my screen you see an autocad drawing, that's my day job. That mug isn't coffee, it's tea, and that mug bit the dust last week. My finger just healed. The desk I'm sitting at in the photo no longer resides at those coordinates which are now empty air in Toronto's southern shores.
My 2nd book Snowball's Chance In Hell was a 2009 nominee in the Stephen Leacock Humour Award.
If my next book gets published in time, I will enter it into the Stephen Leacock Humour Award for 2010, along with Harvey the Happy Helmet's How to Drive Handbook.
My next book will have a nom de plume, so at present I will not divulge that or the title of the book, but only suggest that it caters to a very large fiction market. This book has been given an editorial once over, I will work on some points I agree with and ignore the ones I do not, like removing a real-life character I added. Hoping to get it reasonably ready before weekend to continue process of getting it ready before christmas. |
