Jan Kirsch received her B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of Missouri at Columbia. She was a retired high school French teacher and junior/senior counselor. She was a founding board member of the Reeds Spring School Foundation until her death.
Jan was an avid tennis player, loved to water ski, and travel. She read constantly. She was never too busy to drop everything to go see her grandchildren. She has been a Yoga devotee for many years.
She was a 2007 finalist in the Santa Fe Writers Project with her memoir collection Letters to Eliza. In 2010 she received an Honorable Mention Award for a fiction short-short story, "The Teacher" from the "New Millennium Writings competition. Jan lives in the southwest Missouri Ozarks by Table Rock Lake with her husband, retired Judge William Kirsch. They have two married sons and four grandchildren. |

Jan's second book, "Letters to Eliza" was published and was released on 0ctober 29, 2010.
