James Comey is a freelance writer, retired educator, and writer-in-residence at Stages of Imagination, Inc. (www.stagesofimagination.org). He has written a novella, DEATH OF THE POET KING, and an Irish-American, coming of age enovel, UNCOMMON GLORY (http://www.amazon.com/Uncommon-Glory-ebook/dp/B006MINMJA). He has had ten plays produced that have been seen by 200,000 children. He has converted six of his plays into CDs. Two have been awarded Parents' Choice Awards. A film version of his play, WOODEN HEART, was awarded two Silver Telly Awards for Children's Programming and Children's Audience. His writing has been cited by the National Education Association, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the PA Center for the Book. He has taught from the middle school through the graduate school levels and holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Authors Guild and, when not writing, can be found riding his Triumph motorcycles on winding country roads.
