Jackie Horsfall credits her long and successful writing career to a job right out of college -- hired into the Correspondence Section at the White House, answering the President's mail. An author of a dozen joke-and-riddle books and an award-winning nature activity book, "Play Lightly on the Earth" (Dawn), Jackie's also published hundreds of short stories, articles, activities, and poems in leading children's magazines such as Highlights, Ranger Rick, Pockets, Cobblestone, Current Health, Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty's. Her YA novel "For the Love of Strangers" (Leap 2010) puts a powerful new spin on the classic hero-savior myth. Born in Rochester, NY, her home is now in the Finger Lakes region, amid vineyards and snooping deer. |
