A native of Dallas, Texas Gordon Smith has traveled the country both as a school child and an adult. Elementary schools in Dallas, graduated from high school in Mobridge, South Dakota. Went from there to the army and then to Arlington State College in Arlington, Texas and on to SMU School of Law in Dallas. has spent almost 48 years in the insurance claim business having operated his own independent company for 28 of those years. He has traveled the country following catastrophes handling insurance claims arising out of hurricanes, wind and hail storms and floods from Florida City, Florida to the Russion River in northern California. Although an avid writer for most of his life, his first full length book was published in 1995. Additional books followed in 1998 and 2004. He is currently working on a novel and a series of books about homeowners insurance beginning with AFTER THE MOLD IT'S YOUR MONEY TURNING TO DUST already in publication. Married with seven children, eight grand children, Mr. Smith is a fisherman, hunter and shooter but mostly enjoys time with the grand kids.
