Author Biography

Born with an insatiable passion of adventure and world discovery, Gayanne Liberty has been dubbed by her relatives as their family's answer to Indiana Jones. She has not only crawled through the Great Pyramids but has also sat on the shoulder of the Sphinx at midnight under the Egypian full moon. This being only one of many adventures that even her family knows little about! Always driven by her restless spirit to fully know herself, understand her dreams and to discover her soul's purpose, Gay has also spent her life seeking to unravel the mysteries of God and Man's place in the universe .

Having a love for reading and writing since she was very young, she has always used her writing to bring form to her wandering mind and her thoughts about life. Always upbeat in nature, her cheery outlook on life bleeds through her pen to uplift and empower others with her poetry, stories and wisdom teachings. She prefers to use the form of fiction to teach spriritual insights and has a gift of being able to bring simplicity and logic to what could seem complex. Gay had contributed to a Colorado metaphysical periodical for several years. Her journeys to sacred sites throughout the world have provided the primary inspiration for her book, Sacred Sight--In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors: A Journey of Self-Discovery.

A native of the American West, Gay has lived in Colorado for the past 25 years. She loves to hike the mountains, collecting mushrooms and identifying the local herbs and wildflowers. She has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Gay and her husband, Gary live in Colorado Springs and manage a vacation cabin rental business (see link). Having procrastinated nearly seven years to complete and publish her first book, she is now driven with new inspiration to research and write a second.

Influences/Inspirations:
I cherish greatly that I had the opportunity to study herbal & natural healing and spirituality with Hanna Kroeger of Boulder. She was a passionate warrior in her field and an Angel to all who knew her.
Favorite Writers and Artists:
My writing has been influenced the most by Barbara Hand Clow. I had the pleasure to meet her in Egypt as she was one of the presenters in our group. If I read fiction, I usually prefer settings in ancient history or ancient archaeology. I do enjoy Dan Brown's novels. A great movie, to me, must be set in a fabulously beautiful setting.
Current Projects:
Currently working on my 2nd book, "Sacred Insight" and there will be a third to this series. Also, organizing Spiritual Journeys to Mexico and Peru for 2010.
Interests:
Anything outdoors or having to do with nature. Hiking, walks with my dog, collecting mushrooms, gardening, herbs, wildflowers, making infused oils, flower essences, and all natural lotions. Also facilitating womens spiritual retreats and empowering the wise women within.
