Philosophy of Mind and Body Conditioning
Philosophy Of Mind And Body Conditioning has two parts: it will first take you back to the 40’s and will introduce you to a young boy named George. George was a boy who was very vivacious and liked to travel, experience, and learn everything that the world had to offer.
Although George was born in a faraway island in the Mediterranean that had few people, and fewer opportunities for him to experience life, just as he wished. Therefore one winter day, just shy from his ninth birthday, George, along with his older sister Sofia left the island and went to the big city of Athens, Greece.
Once the ship docks at the port of Greece, we will follow George as he travels through the city of Athens searching, anticipating and fighting for that opportunity to come, so he could better his life.
Although the city of Athens, was different from the island that George was born on. Athens had many temptations that could allure a young man to go astray. As you go through each page of Philosophy Of Mind And Body Conditioning, you will read George’s trials, mishaps, and admiration to succeed in life.
The second part of the book will take you in the 70’s and it introduces you to George’s family. George was married, had two kids in Athens, and moved to Detroit, Michigan.
In Detroit we will be introduced to his youngest child, fay. Fay being vivacious herself wanted to travel, experience and learn everything that the world had to offer, just like her father, George. Although fay had a misfortune that had altered hers and her families life forever!
Philosophy Of Mind And Body Conditioning is a short memoir, but even so, fay will inspire and ignite your senses with every page you go through!
Introduction:
Athens, Greece is the land of ancient sites and architectural treasures; the age-old spectacular sights found in this land will take you back in time; they’re somehow mind-boggling. There’s the National Garden in the center of Athens that is reviving to many Athenians during the hot summers; the benches under the trees provide shaded areas to many! You can relax under a tree and feed the ducks that are inhibiting the grounds!
In the National Garden there are also many restaurants and coffee shops that you can sit with a cup of Greek Coffee, and enjoy watching the streams flowing through the green willows!
Plaka is the old city of Athens; it’s a great place for tourist to shop, take a stroll, or have dinner under the stars. Seeing the Parthenon’s columns change color from beige, to Golden, to rose, then to deep red and back to beige is astonishing.
Once in Athens, you must visit the theater of Epidaurus, there you will experience the most artistic presentation of a lifetime! Epidaurus Theater had been having performances, under the stars, for thousands of years! Just imagine that you might be sitting at the same location in the stadium where philosophers once sat during medieval times discussing politics! However Greece isn’t only known for the historical treasures found in Athens. If you must get away from the stresses and ruckus of the city life, than you must retreat to one of the many Greek Islands Greece has.
If you want to experience paradise than the Greek Islands are like no other place in the world! Each of these islands has their own trademark that identifies its territory. For instance, you have Sondorini. Sondorini is known for its remarkable sunsets. There’s also Mykonos that is know for its mills and nightlife! Mykonos is the island of sins! If you desire to party until dawn, and be promiscuous under the stars, than Mykonos is just the island for you! However if you want a secluded place for you to escape to, then you must retreat to one of the little islands out in the Cyclades.
The Cyclades Islands are further out from the mainland of Athens, which means they have a cleaner Atmosphere! Most of these islands consist of deep blue turquoise waters, with white sandy beaches that are undeniable to man!
The Cyclades islands are virginal; God only knows the secretive coves, the small hide-away ponds, and rocky edges found on these islands. If only you knew that this is where you will end up when you die than death would be so much sweeter!
However, you might just wish to get away for just the weekend than you ought to retreat to one of the Ionian Islands.
The Ionian Islands are found within four to six-hours distance from the port of Greece.
From the mainland onto the Southern Peninsula of Greece is Peleponnesios Mountains; the ancient ruins are the main fuss of sightseeing in Peleponnesios. Most major roads in Peloponnesios link to Athens, Parta, Cornith and Tripoli. Poros, Galatas Summer of 1984.
It’s nearly midnight when you decide to go for a ride on a motorbike with a man of your dreams. You’re zipping along the shoreline, marveling God’s creations: the ocean, the moon, the stars lighting up the sky; the reflection of lights on the water is dreamy! The only things you hear are the waves crashing against the fishing boats.
A soft breeze on your face sends chills down your backbone! You think to yourself, I must be in heaven, never have I felt such ecstasy and freedom in my life! You are riding behind this wonderful man; you feel safe and secure!
He places his hand on your leg and pulls you closer to him. He strokes your leg and turns, slightly, toward your face to kiss your forehead. The tenderness of his body against yours keeps you warm. You inch closer to him! The heat of his body makes me hot for him! You close your eye and you think God there is a heaven and it doesn’t get better than this! But then in the blink of an eye...
I’m going to tell you a story about courage, strength, and confidence. I have the will to live, and I fought for what I believed in. Somehow I found the courage to overcome most of my obstacles by learning to refocus and accept my limitations! I believed in myself when no one else did! All the odds were against me! I was hurt, used, and discriminated against. But somehow I found the determination to leave my life the way I wanted!
I will start out by briefly unfolding my father’s unfulfilled psychological need to escape to Athens, Greece, from his birthplace of Amourgos. Afterwards, I will unfold how my father, George was forced to abstract from Athens, Greece and come to America with his family. How foreign families adjust to the American culture.
Consequently, I will tell you about me accident while vacationing in Greece and how I made it back from the brink of death. I did not want this story to be a fact-based documentary; this is storytelling that is built on adventure, mischief and passion that comes from the heart; it is a story that will make you laugh and cry!
I might not be a well-known celebrity; however I was pushed into a ditch full of shit and came out smelling like a rose. Therefore if you desire to escape your everyday worries and travel to faraway places sit, relax and I will take you for a ride you’ll never forget!
This is my story ....
