Native and resident of San Diego, CA, Cynthia has written for over 30 years. Her first book, "In My Mother's Shoes," was published in March 2007 and is a tribute to her late mother. Her second book, "A Tribute to Mother," published in 2009,is a compilation of the writings of several women,men and youth paying tribute to the mothers in their lives. Cynthia is a 2009 winner of the NaNoWriMo contest and is currently working on her first novel, "Olive's Tree." |
Influences/Inspirations:
The biggest influences in my life are my son, Marshall, my father Rev. Dr. Johnie Carlisle, Jr. and my late mother Eunice Carlisle. I am inspired by the Holy Spirit as I eagerly await His instructions.

My favorite writers are Maya Angelou, C.S. Lewis.

Currently working on three books: Olive's Tree, a novel, A Woman In Heels, a novel; Honoring My Father, a collection of poems, short stories and testimonials.
