Fresh out of college, Cynthia Clampitt headed for corporate America. However, though she enjoyed considerable success, after ten years, it was clear that this was not where she belonged. She wanted to write—and she wanted to get away, to shake free of the corporate mindset and to test her limits. Australia was a lifelong interest, and it seemed to be the best, and farthest, place to start over. After six-months and nearly 20,000 miles of joy and adventure, very much transformed by her experiences, Clampitt returned home to build a new career around her passions of writing, history, travel, and food. Today, Clampitt is a successful freelance writer, world traveler, and culinary historian. She loves sharing her adventures with others and letting people know that dreams can come true if you’re willing to pay the price. |
