Author Biography

Colin S. Cavell, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Bahrain in the Kingdom of Bahrain, teaching in the American Studies Center. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Cavell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 1982, his Masters of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of New Orleans in 1987, and his Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts in February 2001. Dr. Cavell has taught at the University of New Orleans, the University of Massachusetts, Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, and Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts, in addition to the University of Bahrain. As well, Dr. Cavell has taught political science with the Junior Statesmen Foundation Summer Program at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Specializing in American Foreign Policy, International Relations and Law, and Political Economy, Dr. Cavell teaches primarily political science and history classes at the University of Bahrain.
