Hi everyone.

I'm an editor for Writer’s Digest Books (an imprint of F+W Media). I edit two annual resource books: Guide to Literary Agents, as well as Screenwriter’s & Playwright’s Market. I also assist in editing Writer’s Market (www.writersmarket.com).

A side project of mine right now is helping to oversee and overhaul the third edition of Formatting & Submitting Your Manuscript (a WD trade book) for a 2009 release.

I've worked for some newspapers and magazines - most notably Writer's Digest. I was even lucky enough to get a few awards from the Kentucky Press Association and the Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists while working as a newspaper reporter.

When I'm not editing, I try to be a freelance writer and freelance editor. I've had several plays produced, some original, some commissioned. Some of plays have had high school productions, other college productions, others professional productions.

I enjoy writing for magazines, and have written for publications such as Watercolor Artist, Cincinnati Magazine, Pennsylvania Magazine, New Mexico Magazine, Cincinnati Gentlemen, and The Pastel Journal. During the past decade, I've had more than 500 articles appear in newspapers, magazines and books.

Though I'm not doing so right now, in the past, I have taught instructional courses through Writers Online Workshops (www.writersonlineworkshops.com).

I play guitar and keyboard in an awesome Cincinnati-based cover band called One Not Taken. I also travel frequently to speak to writers' groups. In 2009, I'll be speaking at conferences in Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Boston, New York, Jackson Hole, St. Simon's Island, Anchorage, Reno and more.
