Christy Heady is a published author, creative non-fiction writer, writing consultant and TV/film writer/producer. She has written four books, the most recent Buzz: How to Create It and Win With It, co-authored with former New York City Mayor Edward I. Koch.

Heady's published books include The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Money on Wall Street (1994), now in its fourth edition, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Managing Your Money (1995), now in its third edition and co-authored with her father, the late Robert K. Heady, and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Money in the New Millennium (2000). Almost half a million copies of all editions of her books have been sold. Her Wall Street book is the first non-computer title in the Complete Idiot's Guide series and it held the #1 sales spot for several years after publication.

Heady is a member of the Authors's Guild, the South Carolina Writers Workshop, Ladies Who Launch, Women's National Book Association, and Women in Film. Her work has been featured on Redroom.com and FiledBy.com, both popular Web sites for readers and writers.

Heady is an Amherst Writers & Artists Affiliate, certified to lead workshops in the AWA method as described in Writing Alone & With Others by Pat Schneider, Oxford University Press.

Heady has written and produced hundreds of articles and television reports for clients and employers, including CNN-Chicago, Bankrate.com, America Online, The Los Angeles Times Syndicate, The Chicago Tribune, PAX-TV, Consumers Digest, The Christian Science Monitor and Charleston Style and Design.

Her media appearances to discuss her books include CNBC's Power Lunch, ZDTV, PAX-TV, WCIU-Channel 26 in Chicago and NPR. Local and national print interviews include appearing in publications in New York, California, Illinois and Florida. She has held sold-out book signings in the Chicago area for The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Money on Wall Street.

Heady is experienced in the television and film production industry in documentary and feature films in writing and producing. Her most recent project was as a location scout for Susan Seidelman's THE BOYNTON BEACH CLUB (2005).

Heady graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a B.A. in Communications and earned a Certificate in Film Studies from Florida International University in Miami.
