Chris Dickon is a writer and veteran television and radio producer/reporter/writer with most of his previous work in public broadcasting, and current effort in book and article writing and research. His documentaries, features, reporting and interviewing have been broadcast nationally on PBS and NPR, and his recent books from Arcadia publishing and the History Press have placed Virginia history in international contexts. His most recent book, The Enduring Journey of the USS Chesapeake, published in the US/UK and Canada tells of the travels of a US Navy frigate launched in the Gosport, Virginia shipyard in 1799 through the common history of three nations up until the present day, and into the 22nd century.
