Author Biography

Cheryl Dusek was born in Miami and raised in Miami Beach Florida. Cheryl is married, with three wonderful children, and she would like to thank her family for all the adventures.
Cheryl is a first time author and illustrator with eighteen years of experience as a pre - kindergarten educator.
Cheryl has the honored distinction of being selected as Miami - Dade County Public Schools 2008 - 2009 Paraprofessional of the Year.
A proclamation was made, November 12, 2009,in the Town of Surfside Florida. The Town's education committee honored Cheryl with a Cheryl Dusek Day for her dedication and achievement in Miami - Dade Public Schools plus her service and commitment to the Town Of Surfside. Cheryl teaches arts and crafts classes for children and organizes arts and crafts for special events for the Town of Surfside.
Cheryl participated in her first Miami International Bookfair in November 2009 and has participated in numerous additional local events. For example, The Children's Trust Expo, Miami - Dade County Public Schools " Week of the Child Event", Ready Schools Miami, Florida Memorial University Author Workshop, The Miami Children's Museum, The Miami Beach Bass Museum of Art, Books and Books in Bal Harbor and numerous additional schools and libraries.
Influences/Inspirations:
Cheryl's inspiration originated from her children and wants to thank them for all the adventures.
Cheryl's mother Elaine and her late grandmother Pauline had the biggest influence on her and they are her heroes!
Cheryl's pre-kindergarten children amaze and surprise her everyday. I can not think of a better way to spend my days and my life!
Favorite Writers and Artists:
I love a variety of children's books. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors with The Lorax and Horton Hears A Hoo being on top of the list.

Interests:
Cheryl loves being a pre - kindergarten educator. She is an extremely active PTA board member who loves to help her school and participates wherever she can.
Cheryl loves to teach and create arts and crafts projects, shopping at craft stores, playing the piano, swimming and walking on the beach.
Family:
Cheryl is married and has three children.

I thought this book was amazing i wish you would of wrote it sooner hope your book is a huge success Cheryl Thanks for being so talented

Maybe One Day is AMAZING!!! My students absolutely LOVED the book!!! The forward in the book gave me great ideas.
