Author Biography

For over two decades, Charlie has helped executives improve performance by rethinking their businesses. He has personally consulted to over fifty of the Fortune 100 in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His experience spans a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, metals, healthcare, financial services, biotechnology, consumer products, and high technology.
His innovative approach marries the latest scientific research on how the mind works with extensive experience in the formulation of strategy, the design of organizations, the management of business, and the leadership of people. His Rapid Transformation ProcessSM consistently produces dramatic results for clients in unheard of timeframes. His seminars on Transformational Leadership have enabled thousands of managers to improve the effectiveness of their organizations with significantly less stress.
Charlie started his career as an academic, and then moved to Digital Equipment Corporation to help the company develop a market orientation. In the mid-eighties, he founded the Amherst Consulting Group, and under his leadership the firm grew an average of sixty percent a year, numbering among its clients six consulting firms that were ostensibly its competitors. In 2000, Amherst was acquired by a billion dollar IT services company. After serving as Senior Vice-President of internet strategy, he left to found 180 Partners.
Charlie completed his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. work at the University of Michigan. He lives in Newton, Massachusetts, with his wife and two daughters.
