Bruce Gatenby has written three novels, a dozen screenplays (including two with Ovideo Assonities, producer of Scent of a Woman), numerous articles and stories, and a memoir, No Hope, No Despair. He grew up in California, has a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, and has lived in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
