I rather liked this book. It's not my typical read, I usually go for a much darker theme, convoluted plots, everything going wrong all the time. But I just couldn't put it down. I would have read the entire thing in one sitting, but my wife insisted I take her to dinner that night :)

It was quite refreshing to read, and contrary to my usual fare, sometimes in life things DO just go right and everything falls into place like this book portrays. There is a bit of a mystical background to some of the characters and background points, but it doesn't intrude on the story - there's just enough magic to make you wonder. It's definitely different than any other fantasy novel I've read, but that works in it's favour.

Excellent work! My only disappointment was that it ended - I'm very looking forward to the next in the series!
