I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, and a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Psychology from The Methodist Theological School, Delaware, Ohio. During my twenty-five years on the faculty of North Central State College, Mansfield, Ohio I taught twenty-three different courses that covered all aspects of human development and behavior from the womb to the tomb. I created eighteen of these courses especially for the nursing, radiology, human services, and behavioral science curricula. I am the author of two textbooks, one on human sexuality, the other on aging, and I contributed poetry, essays, and short fiction to the college literary journal. My wife, Cynthia, and I have combined families of four daughters and a son, eight grandchildren, and one great grandson. Half of the year we live with a lot of wildlife in the south central Florida scrub. The other half of the year we travel around the country in our RV visiting family and friends or touring. Echoes of Ellen is my first novel, Flood, my second, was published in 2009, Five Women in Black was published in June of 2010.

Influences/Inspirations:
Interactions with others were primary in most of my several careers. Many of these people, those on both sides of my work as an investigator, my parishioners, my students and my patients, provided me with the kernels from which my stories evolved. These folks influenced me, their stories inspired me to tell them.
