Author Biography

Barbara Watkins is an author from Southeast Missouri. Her articles have appeared in ‘The Heartland Writers Guild’ and ‘The New York Skyline Review’.

Cold Coffee Magazine accepted her article, A Testament To Poets, for their second issue released in print and is available online at Cold Coffee Magazine.

She has done book reviews for Atlantic Publishing and is currently a full time book reviewer for Bookpleasures.com and Allbooks Review.

April 14, 2011 Barbara signed a contract with ‘StoneGate Ink’ to publish her first full length novel ‘Hollowing Screams’ – a paranormal/thriller.

Barbara is a member of ‘The National Writers Association,’ ‘The International Thriller Writers Association,’ and ‘The Heartland Writers Guild’.

She has a book of short stories entitled, ‘Nightmares & Daydreams’ available in print at Amazon.com, and an e-book entitled ‘Mortal Abomination’ available at Barnes & Noble.
Influences/Inspirations:
My family is my greatest inspiration, and the author's below continue to influence me with their entertaining literature.
Favorite Writers and Artists:
Anne Rice, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, clive Barker, Lia Scott Price, Brian Porter, and many, many more.
Current Projects:
I Just signed a contract with 'StoneGate Ink' for my latest manuscript, 'Hollowing Screams,' a Paranormal/Thriller. Earlier this year I collaborated on a script entitled, 'BlindSide' with Dimi Nakov (Director/Producer) It is an Indie short film in post-production.
Interests:
Reading, reading, and more reading. Love reading and reviewing new and upcoming author's as well.

She has been a regular contributor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ‘Partners In Hope’ program since 2008.
