This is Audrey Mathewson's first fiction novel. She enjoyed writing classes in school in Hayden, Colorado. After graduation she joined the U.S. Navy hoping to train as a Journalist. Instead in 1952, she was stationed at the Atomic Defense School, Treasure Island, CA.

Now, retired, she is making her writing debut with "Let the Fire Fall!" A Black Budget City. Government funds raised in over priced goods were used to build an unground city for protection in the event of a nuclear attack.
