Anne Baxter loves to read and tell stories to her grandchildren. Always an animal lover, she brought home kittens, puppies, guinea pigs, gerbils, parakeets, chicks, rabbits and even a newborn fawn. It seems only natural that she writes about animals. Jacqueline Click, the illustrator of both Maybe Wins! and Everybody Needs a Name, shares the same afflictions--loving to tell stories and bring home pets--but in addition, she brings her considerable artistic talent into play in these two books.

Influences/Inspirations:
My biggest inspiration is Jesus--and I hope that everything I write honors Him. Another is Peg Phifer, who writes the blog Sips and Cups Cafe and still finds time to write 50,000 words in her current novel during NANORIMO, posts regularly to Twitter & FaceBook, and has another blogspot as well. For sheer quality of writing, I find Sigmund Brouwer inspirational, as well.
For home-based influence, you just can't beat the hubby and kids and grandkids I have. They keep me going and enthusiastic!
Favorite Writers and Artists:
There are so many! Orson Scott Card, Sigmund Brouwer, A.K. Arenz, Linda Kathleen Peele, Stephen Lawhead, Francine Rivers, and C.S. Lewis, just to name a few Christian authors. On the secular side of it, I like Diana Gabaldon--although I'm not fond of her Lord John books; Tolkein; Terry Goodkind; Sue Grafton; and umpty-ump more!
Current Projects:
In addition to the Adventures of Maybe series, I'm also working on two historical fictions and one historical romance, all based in the time of Christ.
Interests:
I really enjoy my kids and grandkids--and hubby, of course. And then there's gardening (flower-type, mostly) and watching the wild animals around the place (deer, turkeys, quail, etc.). Not to mention having a purring cat on my lap while I read a good book. And, of course, writing.
Family:
I'm married to a wonderful guy, and between us we have six kids, five kids-in-law, twelve grandkids, two grandkids-in-law, and six great-grandkids. Whew. What a time keeping up with birthdays! And talking about breaking the bank at Christmastime...

Contact Information:
My e-mail is AnneB1944@aol.com, and cell phone number is 916-764-8276. You might have to leave a message and be patient about getting a response, because the cell phone doesn't work at the ranch and I don't go into town every day. E-mail is best for quickest response!
Charities/Causes:
Our church, and things that benefit children. I'm picky about which charities, though, and like to keep the donations anonymous. DON'T send me any solicitations--they will be treated as junk mail.
