Alison Morgan was born in London and educated in Cambridge, where she was awarded a Phd for her work on the poet Dante. After spending a number of years teaching in the Italian department of various universities, Alison was ordained as a minister in the Church of England in 1996. Alison now works as a thinker and writer for ReSource, a national initiative founded to encourage renewal of the Church for mission.

Alison has written many books, booklets and course materials. She oversees the publishing side of ReSource's work and directs the Rooted in Jesus discipleship programme now in wide use in Africa. Alison is a member of the Archbishops' College of Evangelists and serves on the Forum of SOMA UK. She was for many years part of the staff team of Holy Trinity, Leicester. She now lives in Wells, Somerset with her husband Roger, and their children Edward, Bethy and Katy.
