*      Hired to launch CoPilot™ Health Management Systems software. Developed, and wrote the complete product launch package, trained the U.S. commercial team, at the National Sales Meeting. Awarded several recognitions for my efforts, including a Vice President award for outstanding contribution in marketing.

 

*      Managed the FreeStyle® budget for $21MM. Insured that all expenditures and investment goals were met.

 

*      Developed medical marketing collateral that was used by the Abbott Diabetes Care U.S. sales force. Awarded a Vice President award for outstanding contribution in marketing for a medical marketing pce that I developed that grew market share.

 

*      Appointed as a Member of the Abbott Diabetes Care Medical Educator Advisory Board, assisting in evaluating trends and technologies in Blood Glucose Monitoring.

 

 

Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc.           $1bn Life Science Company                           2001-2006

Senior Product Manager

 

*      Hired to launch Bio-Rad’s flagship Bioinformatics software. Developed, and wrote the complete product launch package, trained the world wide sales team. The Product was successfully launched within in four months of me being hired, at the National Sales Meeting. Traveled to all of Bio-Rad’s global subsidiaries and gave product training.

 

*      Successfully developed and launched four other products that have gone on to become key revenue contributors for the Protein Function Division, including, Bio-Plex Software 4.0, Microplate Readers, and Mad Cow Testing Software.

 

*      Managed the Microplate product line, a $10mn business. Maintained profitability and growth in a mature market.

 

*      Was submitted for product manager of the year award.

 

 

 

 

Affymetrix Inc.                             $350mn Biotechnology Company                  1999-2001

Product Manager / Marketing Director

 

Appointed as the Marketing Director for a start up Biotechnology Company. I was part of the executive team. Established and managed the complete marketing infrastructure. Developed and managed all client relationships with major Biotech and global Pharmaceutical companies. Part of the team that sold the company to Affymetrix. Post acquisition managed Affymetrix launch into ecommerce – NetAffx, an online resource for users of Affymetrix technology, empowering scientist to efficiently correlate experimental array data with public and proprietary databases.

Set up and managed the Oakland office for Robert Half Management Resources. Took the division to profitability with three months. Managed a staff of three account executives. Maintained full P&L responsibility. Sold financial services products to East Bay companies.
