Author Biography

Alba is a mom and educator who enjoys reading with her children Jake and Francesca and seeks to provide fun educational experiences for kids while engaging families in the process. Although her career trajectory has been in higher education, she has had the privilege of working with children, youth, and families in Puerto Rico, Haiti, Cuba and in the United States. Alba draws from her rich experiences with children and families of these countries in her writing and has been involved with youth and children's programs through community based organizations.
Through her work with children she has discovered a passion for creating interesting and enriching educational materials that help children have fun while learning. "Meet children at their level through experiences that they can relate to and respect them - they have so much to give us" is her philosophy.

Diego's busy week was birthed from her desire to teach her children the days of the week but not finding anything quite adequate to do that with.
