Abby Frucht's collection of stories, Fruit of the Month, won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize for 1987. Since then she has published five novels, along with essays and stories in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Dzanc Books' Best of the Web 2008. A recipient of two National endowment for the Arts Fellowships and a New Voices Award, Ms. Frucht lives in Wisconsin and has been a mentor and advisor at Vermont College of Fine Arts for fifteen years.
